Foundations DynamicDNS doesn't do everything...

The Dynamic DNS server included as part of the Lotus Foundations software does a good job of keeping your server visible to the world when your ISP randomly changes your IP address. Unfortunately, the DynamicDNS update process doesn't update everything...

So if your email is still being delivered and is accessible via iNotes, but other types of access aren't working (Notes Designer client in this case) then check your Fast Forward settings.

If you've put in the Fast Forward entries manually, then you may run into that issue. What I might recommend is that instead of pointing to the external IP, you point to something like 127.0.0.1 which is an internal loopback IP that will never change.

My Fast Forwards all point to the internal LAN IP address.

When you create a new forwarding entry, LFS pre-populates the From Address with the name of the server. Perhaps it would be a good ide if the To Address was also pre-populated.
